Mental Health Services

Ensuring the well-being of students goes beyond academic success. The Copper Country Intermediate School District (CCISD) recognizes this, providing vital mental health services that empower students to navigate the challenges of adolescence and build emotional resilience.

The CCISD's approach is proactive, focusing on early identification and intervention. Mental health professionals utilize evidence-based practices like individual and group counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques. These interventions equip students with coping skills to manage anxiety, depression, and other common mental health concerns.

Service Basics

  • Services support K-12 students through individual or small group sessions with highly qualified and trained professionals.

  • Services support students with mild to moderate mental/behavioral health needs. Moderate needs may include: coping skills, classroom disruption, building positive relationships, being bullied or bullying others, or poor self-esteem. Students with more severe or long-term needs may be referred to an outside provider for support.

  • Most treatment plans range between 8-12 weeks based on student engagement and treatment goals.
