On Tuesday, November 3rd, residents across Baraga, Houghton, and Keweenaw Counties approved the Copper Country ISD Special Education Replacement Millage with 68.5% of the vote.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took the time to head to the polls and exercise their right to vote. A strong community begins with civic participation, and we appreciate every voice that took part in this election.

Continuing to support special education goes beyond ballot measures and doesn't end at election day. For the more than 1,000 special education students from birth through age 26 served across all 14 of our local school districts, we continue to provide essential therapies, individualized classroom support, and adaptive tools so everyone can learn and grow alongside their peers.
