TITLE:
Early Childhood Special Education Service Provider

DESCRIPTION:
Evaluate for and provide special education services and supports to eligible Early On and Preschool students in a variety of natural environments. This includes instruction in activities designed to promote social, emotional, communication, physical and intellectual growth necessary to the home, preschool, daycare or other early childhood community settings. Works with and trains parents and staff regarding effective teaching strategies in all areas of child development.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with special education endorsement. Must have Early Childhood endorsement or ability to obtain Temporary Approval for Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. Experience with young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders; prefer endorsement in ASD.

SALARY:
Schedule as negotiated by Master Contract

STARTING DATE:
September 1, 2010

LENGTH:
Full time, school year position
