 Linda Pelli
Teacher of Health Careers
I am a
registered nurse with a lifetime of nursing experience
to share with my students. My background includes over
30 years in many aspects of the health care field,
including the operating room, obstetrics,
medical/surgical nursing, home health, long-term care,
adult education (CNA), medical office and
administration. I am starting my tenth year as an
instructor for the CNA and Health Careers Program for
the CCISD. I am certified as a Train-the-Trainer to
certify RNs to teach the CNA program in Michigan.
I attended
Finalndia University, NMU, MTU, and am completing my
secondary education degree in Allied Health Education
through Ferris. I live in Laurium with my husband of 35
years. We have four children and five grandchildren. I
love camping with my family, lighthouses, Lake Superior,
music, reading and HOSA.
My greatest
joy is watching my students grow and succeed in the
health care setting. This past year was our third year
with our student organization HOSA (Health Occupations
Students of America). Our students competed in regional
competitions and were able to participate in state
competitions against over 2,000 of the best students in
Michigan. Seven students qualified to go to the
national competitions in Orlando, Florida. Of those
seven students, three placed at the national level,
including Laura Moyle, a gold medal winner in the
Speaking Skills category.
I believe that communication is a key
component for a successful and happy educational
experience. Therefore, if you ever have any questions,
suggestions or concerns, please contact me at 483-2155
or by email at
lpelli@copperisd.org. If you are a health care
professional, we would appreciate any assistance, i.e.
setting up a field trip, acting as a mentor to a
student, being a guest speaker or accompanying us on our
end of year field trip.
