Students enrolled in this program will develop skills in
the Early Childhood field that will enable them to work
in preschools, day care centers, and early elementary
programs. Training will take place in actual early
childhood environments where knowledge of child growth,
development, and observation techniques can be achieved.
Students will be introduced to Child Development
Associate (CDA) assessment, and course work will meet
CDA requirements. State licensing requires that all
students meet specific standards of age, health, and
character. Early Childhood Education provides an
excellent foundation for careers in education,
pediatrics, psychology, and social work.
