|
What is BRIDGE?
BRIDGE Alternative High School operates under the
financial responsibility of the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City
Area Schools and is housed in the Copper Country ISD's
Career Tech Center in Hancock. It currently serves six
school districts that do not operate their own
alternative school programs, including Adams Township
Schools, Chassell Township Schools, Dollar Bay-Tamarack
City Area Schools, Hancock Public Schools,
Houghton-Portage Township Schools and Lake
Linden-Hubbell Public Schools.
BRIDGE High School is an Alternative School based on
voluntary enrollment. The school offers a curriculum
which addresses each person as a total and separate
individual within an environment that is created and
maintained in order that everyone might learn. The
philosophy is to nurture the spirit of the student as
well as the mind.
